When another player touches you, your skin and clothes sink in under their hand, shaped like a real palm and fingers, and a soft shadow appears as the hand comes close. It is free. What it does / できること

- Other players' hands press real dents into your skin: the palm and the fingers, shaped like a hand - Every hand is measured: a tiny or a giant avatar presses with its own hand size, a fist or a pointing finger keeps its shape - A soft shadow falls on the skin as a hand comes close - Clothes can dent too - One-click presets for how the skin feels: Plush, Soft, Smooth, Bouncy, Firm and Thin. A preset opens a small window where you pick which materials it sets. A preset sets the whole material; paint the Mask grey where an area should be firmer - Save your own settings as a preset file (Save as, then Save) in the Presets folder and share it. Preset 2 comes with it - Settings for the feel: Reach (cm) is how far a dent carries at most, Spread (cm) makes the skin around a dent sink with it (off at 0), and Edge softness rounds the rim of a dent - Measure the skin (experimental): one button measures how your skin curves, so dents follow round and hollow skin and small details move with the skin around them. It saves one texture per material (Quality: 2, 8 or 32 MB) - Menu toggles: Skin touch on/off, Touch clothes, and optional Self touch for your own hands - A test hand in Unity, so you see the dent before you upload. Requirements / 必要なもの

- A VRChat avatar project from the VRChat Creator Companion (VCC, free; it also helps you install Unity Hub and Unity), VRChat SDK 3.10.6 or newer: https://vrchat.com/home/download 3.10.6 is still a beta: turn on pre-release packages first (VCC and ALCOM: Settings > Packages), then update the VRChat SDK in your project. The download has a picture of both - Poiyomi Toon (free) or Poiyomi Pro (paid, through Patreon), 10.0.20 or newer (the VCC version works): https://www.poiyomi.com/download - Modular Avatar (free), added in the VCC. It brings NDMF along: https://modular-avatar.nadena.dev/docs/intro - NDMF (free), which Modular Avatar installs for you. Setup / 導入

1. Unity menu: Poi > Installed Modules > tick DocMe Skin Touch > Apply & Rebuild Shaders 2. Your body's Poiyomi material: Third Party > tick DocMe Skin Touch 3. Drag the DocMe Skin Touch prefab onto your avatar 4. Upload Before you upload, press a feel under Material presets on the component (for example Soft) and try the test hand with Show a test hand under Try it. The full guide is in "Start here" (English, 日本語, 简体中文) and the README. 1. Performance / 負荷

- No extra meshes - No extra textures, unless you use the optional Measure the skin: it adds one texture per material, 2, 8 or 32 MB of texture memory as you choose under Quality (2 MB is enough for most bodies) - Usually 1 to 4 contacts, depending on how many meshes dent (the component shows the exact count) - 2 synced bits (3 with Self touch) - Measured on an RTX 5070 Ti at 1080p: +0.02 ms with nobody near, +0.17 ms with a hand on the skin - On Poiyomi Pro Tessellated, Skin Touch makes your body cheaper while nobody touches it (0.17 ms less than the same shader without Skin Touch): "Detail near hands" splits the mesh finely only near a hand, and "Keep tessellation everywhere" stays off unless you turn it on - "Make it lighter" under Material presets uses a simpler setup: a hand on the skin costs about a third less - Every measured number is in the Performance picture - メッシュは増えません - テクスチャも増えません。ただし任意の「Measure the skin」を使うと、マテリアルごとにテクスチャが 1 枚増えます（「Quality」で 2 MB・8 MB・32 MB のテクスチャメモリから選べます。たいていの体は 2 MB で足ります） - コンタクトは通常 1〜4 個（へこむメッシュの数によります。正確な数はコンポーネントに表示されます） - 同期ビット 2（Self touch ありで 3） - RTX 5070 Ti・1080p での計測：誰もいないとき +0.02 ms、手が肌に触れているとき +0.17 ms - Poiyomi Pro Tessellated では、誰も触れていないとき Skin Touch なしの同じシェーダーより 0.17 ms 軽くなります：「Detail near hands」が手の近くだけメッシュを細かく分割し、「Keep tessellation everywhere」はオンにしない限りオフのままです - 「Material presets」の「Make it lighter」でより簡単な設定になり、手が肌に触れているときの負荷がおよそ3分の1減ります - 計測した数値はすべて「Performance」の画像にあります

Good to know / ご注意

- Quest and phone players see your avatar without the dents - Both players' Avatar Interactions must allow touching - Poiyomi only for now (no lilToon yet) - Materials that your animations swap in (material swap toggles) are included when you apply a preset or use Measure the skin. Material swaps made with VRCFury are not seen - Measure the skin keeps the skin as it stands now, with its blendshapes: measure again after you change the mesh or its blendshapes - Problems and notes show on the component.
